Handmade welcome chart for school – An idea to wish a warm welcome back to school!
Create a colorful and handmade poster with the words “Welcome to School” to welcome students with joy and creativity.
Materials needed:
Large yellow horizontal cardstock (or any other colored cardstock)
Colored cardstock (red, blue, green, orange, purple, etc.)
Scissors
Glue stick or PVA glue
Black marker or markers
Glitter pens or stickers
Ruler and pencil
Decorative borders (bought or handmade)
Printed or hand-drawn elements (books, pencils, children, sun, flowers, balloons)
Procedure:
Prepare the base:
Take a large blue cardstock and place it horizontally.
Cut out the letters:
Use colored cardstock to cut out the large letters for “WELCOME TO SCHOOL”. Each letter can be decorated with stripes, dots or stars using glitter markers or pens.
Arrange and glue the title:
Glue the letters at the top or in the center of the cardstock, creating a wavy or playful arrangement to add movement.
Add decorative elements:
Glue handmade or printed cutouts around the letters:
Smiling children with signs or books
Large pencils and books
A cheerful sun, flowers, balloons, and butterflies
Use borders:
Decorate the edges with wavy edges or strips of colored paper to frame the chart.
